The age of smart phones has brought along with it a widespread problem known as screen dependency. As users, we become so immersed in the connectivity with the digital world, we become less aware of our immediate environment. Spear is a new wearable device that serves to reverse this extreme reliance. It is a hands-free, vision-free earpiece which notifies you only of important information, and listens only when the user wants to be heard. It replaces bluetooth headphones, wearable pedometers and heart rate monitors.
